Finishes

Please select one of our standard painted or stained finishes, or request a custom finish.

All of our finishes are submitted as physical samples on actual wooden shutter material for customer approval prior to production. Wood used is sustainably-harvested hardwood, typically poplar or basswood, from the Appalachian forest. Custom finishes and base wood materials are available upon request.

Standard Paint Colors

We use Sherwin Williams interior latex paints in a satin sheen. Prior to painting, any voids or blemishes are filled, then two coats of primer are applied. Our state-of-the-art spray application system produces a consistentily even and durable finish that includes the top and bottom of the shutter as well as the ends of the louvers. For custom colors, we work with the Samplize system; see more. You may order large Samplize peel-and-stick color samples of our standard paint colors by clicking each sample below, or submit a finish sample request.

Stain Finishes

Stain finishes produce a beautiful traditional look, highlighting the natural wood grain and detailed joinery work. We use Minwax Wood Finish sealed with a clear satin lacquer, but can use any stain you specify. Our state-of-the-art spray application system produces a consistentily even and durable finish. Standard shutter wood material is Appalachian basswood, but many custom wood options are available (pine, oak, cherry, mahogany, etc.). Submit a finish sample request. Custom colors are available upon request.

Custom Finishes

For both painted and stained finishes, we work from your requests, photos, ideas, or we can color match from a physical sample mailed to us. Once an order is placed, we will submit physical samples on your specified shutter wood material for review onsite and approval prior to production. If you would like to choose custom paint colors now, we work with the Samplize color-match system. Visit Samplize today to get started, or email us for assistance.
